The Lachrymire Prototype: 
The Lachrymire prototype, inspired by the visionary Sofia Isella, is a contemporary take on the offset electric guitar, blending sustainable, locally sourced materials with player-focused features and refined electronics. This instrument is built for the modern musician who demands versatility, comfort, and unique aesthetics.
Construction and Feel
The guitar starts with a subtly offset, stratocaster-inspired body made from reclaimed alder, chosen for its balanced acoustic properties and environmental responsibility. This is paired with a neck of local sugar maple, with a matching barnwood finish headstock,  topped by a sleek fingerboard of local black walnut.
The feel of the neck is optimized for diverse playing styles:
 -Compound Radius Fretboard: A 9.5" to 12" compound radius offers comfortable chording in the lower register (9.5") and effortless bending and lead work up the neck (12").
 - Fretting: Medium jumbo frets provide a smooth, fast playing surface.
 - Nut: A billet brass nut enhances sustain and tuning stability.
 - Inlays:  River abalone inlays provide elegant visual markers, catching the light beautifully, while the glow in the dark side markers make sure you never get lost in a dark stage.
 - Neck Joint: The neck uses a robust and innovative attachment featuring threaded inserts in the neck with a lag bolt attachment to the body, ensuring maximum wood-to-wood contact and superior resonance transfer.
 - Neck carve: a medium C neck profile allows for a comfortable, familiar feel in the hands.
Electronics:
The heart of the Lachrymire's sonic palette lies in its custom pickup configuration and controls: a modern H-S-S setup optimized for powerful, articulate tones.
Pickups:
   - Neck & Middle: Overwound AlNiCo 5 single coils deliver a hot, punchy, and clear single-coil voice with strong attack and excellent clarity, perfect for rhythm and bluesy leads.
   - Bridge: An overwound and coil-splittable AlNiCo 3 humbucker provides a powerful, mid-focused output with a vintage warmth. The coil-split function instantly transforms it into a snappy single coil, dramatically expanding the guitar's sonic range.
Controls:
   - 5-Way Pickup Selector: Standard switching across all H-S-S options.
   - Master Volume: Simple, direct volume control.
   - Tone Controls: Independent tone shaping for different positions:
     - .047 \muF Capacitor: Dedicated to the neck and middle pickups, offering a deep, classic roll-off for traditional single-coil tones.
     - .022 \muF Capacitor: Dedicated to the bridge humbucker, providing a smoother, more modern high-end attenuation.
     - A hardwired killswitch on the output jack offers a unique, immediate stutter effect for experimental rhythmic playing without cluttering the face of the instrument.
Hardware:
The prototype is fitted with aesthetic and functional hardware to complete its unique profile:
 - Aged Copper Hardware: All external metal components feature an Aged Copper finish, lending the guitar a distinctive, vintage-yet-industrial appearance.
 - Tremolo System: The guitar ships with a traditional tremolo bridge that has been decked and blocked from the factory. This configuration offers the stability of a hardtail while allowing the player to easily activate the tremolo by removing the block if desired.
 - Accessories: The tremolo arm and rear cover are thoughtfully included in the gig bag for players who wish to convert the bridge back to full floating functionality.
